The USB-to-RS485 interface converter is engineered to control devices via the RS-485 bus from a computer, laptop, tablet, or controller. For standard operation, it requires no driver installation on the latest versions of Windows, Linux, macOS, and Android. The converter is classified as a CDC ACM (Communication Device Class Abstract Control Model) device and is automatically recognized by operating systems as a standard virtual COM port upon connection. It ensures galvanic isolation between the USB and RS-485 interfaces with an electrical insulation strength of up to 1500 V.
The product's primary application is interface conversion for configuring information-measuring systems and transferring data from them to an upper-level DCS/SCADA system. The converter supports any protocol utilizing the RS-485 bus.
The device features three LED indicators, allowing users to visually verify the power supply from the host USB port (PC, laptop, tablet, or controller) as well as data exchange activity on the RS-485 bus.
